The annual five day event in June peaks on day three, on which the gold cup takes place. Every year this race attracts the world’s elite to not only enjoy spectacular racing, but mingle with Britains high society. Of the total four enclosures, the royal enclosure is the most prestigious, with access strictly limited and applicants needing a sponsor of minimum four years to apply for entrance.

The Royal Enclosure holds a strict dress code consisting of a top hat for men and a hat with a solid base of 4 inches or more in diameter for women. The remaining enclosure are open for the public and offer a more informal and relaxed atmosphere with no formal dress code. The most recent addition is The Village enclosure that is open from Thursday to Saturday and offers a combination of al fresco dining, street food, unique views and live music. The Village Enclosure holds a dress code similar to that of the Royal Enclosure although slightly less formal.

The annual Royal Meeting takes place over five days, each day holding a unique offering of races and atmosphere. The week begins on Tuesday with the Queen Anne Stakes and two further Group 1 contents and consequently offers the most enjoyable entertainment for racing purits. The undoubtedly highlight of the week is “ Ladies Day ” or The Royal Meeting on Thursday which hosts the Gold Cup, a 2.5 mile long race that tests even the most elite long-distance horses.

The Royal Ascot is hosted at Ascot Racecourse, which is located in the idyllic Royal Borough of Windsor in Berkshire, England, just 40km west of London. London enjoys an excess of airports to choose from. However, the closest airport to Ascot Racecourse is Blackbushe Airport, situated 22km from the racecourse. Blackbushe Airport is a small airport with a track length of 1.3km. The airport is open 7 days a week and has a lounge for VIP passengers.

 

Which Plane do I need to Charter to fly to London?

Which Airport you fly to strongly depends on your personal requirements.
